Job Description:
You will be responsible for comprehensive proposals related to river surveys, planning, and design. This is a position where you are expected to take the lead in the River Team of the Conservation Technology Department and guide those around you.
・Maintenance and management of rivers and erosion control structures that have reached their expected lifespan.
・Conservation and restoration of biological environments.
・Hard measures such as revetments and embankments.
・Introduction of warning and information transmission systems, strengthening evacuation systems.
・Design of river structures, river planning, river environment, erosion control (countermeasures for debris flows and floating logs), and technical services for river maintenance.

Qualifications:
Educational Requirement: Minimum of a technical college diploma or higher
(1) Young engineers around 30 years old: Preferably with experience in port planning/design, river structure design, river planning, and holding a Junior Engineer Certification (技術士補).
(2) Engineers in their 40s to 50s at the management level (preferably with a full Engineer Certification, 技術士): Experience in port design, river structure design, river planning, and general erosion control (structures, planning, surveys).
(3) Urban disaster prevention engineers in their 30s to 50s. If possible, those who can also work as management-level engineers.
